Steve said "...the THSL's attracted adolescent flying fish, calico bass and a school of 3' barracuda." There were so many excited flying fish that a few actually jumped onto Steve's swim step. The photos above show the school of flying fish that was attracted to the THSL's and one of the more brazen of the bunch that actually jumped onboard

The THSL's received a lot of attention at Catalina. There were four other boats with lights moored near Steve (two w/ 4 lights & one w/ 2 lights). One of the boat owners cruised by Steve's boat in a dingy and Steve said that he could hear the guy talk about how much brighter Steve's lights are.
